There's a map? Can we access it? That'd be fun to see.

Both maps have a Big Blue dot where the cars started their trips... The Blue lines are where they are, the Green lines are where they are headed "D
NEAT!!!! Thumbsup Seems like the HO map does a fair job of following some major AMTRAK routes.

I can't wait! Hopefully, I'll have photos soon.
Hey guys, just got an update from USPS, the car is out for delivery today to Nacho over in Phoenix. Enjoy it, I know I did! Thanks a bunch for including me, and I apologize for the delay here in California, I have been travelling all over the country lately for work. Oh and Nacho, I left you a little something in the box.

Possible Canada Post Strike.

I don't want to jump the gun and it could be of no consequence as the Canada leg of the tour for all intents and purposes is still several weeks off however, I thought I give a quick heads up with regards to a looming postal strike that could impact the tour. I would suggest that whomever ends up sending the car to Canada, to check in with us here up North before sending the car via USPS as Canada Post would then pick up parcel for delivery once it clears customs. If there is an on-going strike, the car could end up in limbo. I'm cautiously optimistic that this could all be a moot issue, but one needs to be aware of these things, just in case. In the event that we are still in the grip of a strike, it would mean sending it via Fed Ex or Purolator.

However, and I'm sure someone will agree with my sentiments, do not send it UPS across the border! Otherwise someone will end up getting smacked with a brokerage fee that UPS is infamous for charging for.
I agree with Tetters - better to postpone in the event of a strike than to use UPS or any other courier - especially for the purposes of crossing the border.

Just got word by telegraphy that the HO car will be switched over to the Canyon State Railroad sometime tomorrow morning. The interchange point will be at the Hobby Bench on 19th Ave. in Phoenix. Info regarding the type of cargo aboard was not relayed since I think that Black Bart and his gang cut the lines before that was transmitted. A work crew has been dispatched along with two security guards to repair the line. I can assure you that we will be well armed when the transfer takes place since we will be returning from target shooting in the desert about that time. 2285_ Shoot 357
Just an update. The HO tour is stalled for a few days waiting for the paperwork to catch up with the car. Unfortunately, the car arrived on the CSRR without a manifest and so we had to impound the car and hold it until we are assured of its contents and destination. I will post a few pictures to show it sitting at our impound siding where authorities hired a special group to guard things.
Please note the Canada Post strike situation is getting worse, not better. So the "northern leg" may have to wait a bit (more)....

Since this thread has not been updated in a while, I thought I should point out that the Canada Postal strike has been over for sometime now. FYI.

And the car is still sitting on a siding waiting for the manifest to catch up with it.
