The rectangle would look Great on the front of an engine! Smile Smile Smile
EZ Days, I would use the font from your October 2 submission.
Here's my proposal (linked in a post above):

Yeah, I just wanted to see how it looked with a different font, but that's easy to change. The main point is to make something that's simple enough to reproduce and can be applied to engines and cars.
Personally Mr. Day,I am rather fond of your designs (though they all look awesome).Andrew's suggestion would be great on the flanks of a boxcar or even a cabin.Heck it would probly fit on a gondola with a little luck.I was trying to come up with a modern logo using the same font my GVR uses but it just doesn't work. Nope

My decal problem is that I will need a modern logo in 3 scales (Z,N,&HO).We need a corporate colour scheme also once the logo thing is worked out.

Thank you kind sir, I'm hoping that no matter which ones we pick, and I think we can pick more than one, we can combine them to come up with a scheme we can all be proud to use on our railroads.

Excuse my partiality but with the folks on this forum that is a given.

I second that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We may be a bit biased, but then again, the folks here have proved you right time and again. Thumbsup Thumbsup
Just a reminder, we are down to just a few more days, so let me know if you're working on something and need more time. This isn't a contest as such, we are trying to take the next step in the formation of our global railroad and so we will make leeways if necessary.
I'm done. My design started too complicated and has become more so. I just can't get to " think simple", so I'm out, let's get this thing done.
I hope to scan my design to a computer for input either today or tomorrow.

Cool, we'll hang in there for a few more days just to give everyone a chance.
Tell ya what, we're a bit over our anticipated shutoff time, but a few of you had said you were working on your submissions and since this isn't really a contest as such, we can take liberties with the closing date. However, we can't go on forever, so I will keep this thread open until the end of this month, that's one more week for everyone to get something in. I will open a voting poll on Nov. 1 so we have a idea what logos will work. We'd like to have a few different one that span the eras, so even after voting, we may tune things up based on the results, or even combine a few.
OK, we will consider all entries that are to be, are all here in this thread already. I will take the next day or so to compile a list and see how the next voting poll plays out and where we go from there...
