Greetings, gang.

21 degrees and snow this morning in the remote reaches of northern Iowa. Looks like another couple of inches has fallen with more on the way. Then this afternoon the sun will come out and the high is supposed to be near 40 degrees.

I did find something to do yesterday.

This afternoon I'll be working on the shelves (not visible in the pictures. They're fairly well organized, just need to have the sawdust removed.

All Stay safe.

Good Morning Blue
We have sun and 9 degrees.
Snow expected by evening and through the night....AGAIN
I spent some time yesterday checking and lubing some Lionel steamers that have been sitting a long time.
Got 4 up and running like new again. None were broken just needed some care.
I think the banks are closed today but I need some fresh air so I'm gonna go check anyway.

Morning all. Sunny and warming here. Kids making up snow days today. NC does not officially recognize Presidents' Day. Schools do. We can recognize MLK Jr. Day but not the Presidents. Still causes controversy. Wife and I were discussing that I bet if snow make up day was MLK Jr. Day that a certain organization would boycott and sue. BTW: that organization along with the ACLU has asked for a Fed Justice Dept. to investigate our County's SRO's handling of minorities. Curse SRO is School Resource Officers that are LE officers from the County or municipalities placed in the schools. They are mainly PR with students but also help the teachers and principal when things get "out of order" [like stopping fights or attacks on teachers]. IE. Last week our High School SRO had to break up a fight between three boys. One turn on the SRO. He had to taze him which was better than the officer using his baton and beating him [which he deserved].

Oh well. Enough

Have a great week.
Good almost noon here.

No school or mail here but I have to work today Icon_lol and Tuesday 2nd shift.
It's afternoon here now................
It's STILL SNOWING Eek , and the weather report is calling for "Thunder Storms" !!!

Thunder, lightning,.... and.... SNOW whoopee !!
Glad I don't need to go anywhere today. 2285_ 2285_
Kevin now remember this is because of global warming so enjoy it
Package I've been expecting via FedEx arrived today on a Budget truck. The box was in good shape. Found the scrap computer case to be in great shape. Hardly a scratch on it. It still had the internals. Main board, keyboard, power supply. Power supply was toast. Keyboard was bad. It's a double clutcher. Main board tested as good so it's in the parts box. Inside of the case was choked with dust balls. Shop-Vac took care of that. So I guess tomorrows project, if I feel up to it, is to change out the case of my Apple //e A2S2128 with this better looking one. My old one looks like it went through a few hockey games as the puck!
I decided I couldn't wait until tomorrow so I changed out the cases today. Isn't that a thing of beauty?

In Ontario (at least) this is Family Day. Came in some time after I retired, I guess. Most large businesses, malls, closed except a number of large ones which are open because they're "tourist traps" (or something like that). Very few of them open where the tourists go.

I'm laying some WS foam roadbed in part of the layout. Anyone have a reference on how to lay it for turnouts? My Kalmbach book on track (by A. C. himself) is dated 1951 and probably predates even cork.
Well you've seen from my earlier postings what little I've been up to today so there's not much point in repeating it except to say that there's a certain package delivery company that won't be getting any more business from the Running Bear Enterprises Sundown Shops.

Time for me to call it a night. See y'all tomorrow.

Thanks. It took a lot of work to get it to this point.
Good morning. It's 63° with 100% humidity and patchy fog. Cloudy with a high of 75°.

Looks like it's gonna be a nice day. Though cloudy it's gonna be in the upper 70's and weather data indicates that'll continue through Thursday with some rain possible Thursday. The high will drop to the upper 60's for the weekend.

It's a good thing I decided to change out the computer cases last night as I'd be unable to do it today. Hands are too shaky for doing any work that requires steady hands. Nothing planned for today.

Good Morning Blue
We have sun and 24 degrees.
I just got in from clearing another overnight snow.
Did some more work on getting the layout back to running order
I made a few successful loops yesterday so now I can go back and lay the permanent track back down.
