The layout is still under construction, but I thought it would be fun to take a video.

The ride ends where the camera wouldn't fit at the entrance to hidden tracks going to a staging area. It comes back up where the NP swithcer is where the train leaves the yard. It is a point to point layout, but continuous running can be done using the hidden staging area.
Nice Video!

Do you have a specialized Camera? I've tried loading my camera onto a flat car, but its pretty wide and it doesn't clear my catenary poles and commuter stops.
It's not a specialized camera. It's a Canon HD HE R400. It is a bit oversized for this use. it won't fit through tunnel portals. There are "keychain" cameras available, but I just used what I had. All of my flatcars happen to have sprung Kadee trucks and it was a real balancing act as the camera is also a bit heavy and my curves are super elevated and the car wanted to tip over. I tried to post a picture of the camera, but apparently the picture was too large and the website wouldn't accept it.
Ah, I see, its a camcorder, not a regular hand held camera. I was thinking about mounting one of those mini cameras in my MU commuter cars, but i don't want to fill in the interior space to much.
WoW..!! That's some ride... Great scenics and glitch-free operations..Can't ask for anything more.. Thumbsup
BTW...Where did you get those background posters..??
The backdrops are from Walthers, called "Instant Horizons". This layout was started over 20 years ago and there wasn't much available back then. Works for me ! Cheers
Here a picture of my camera car. One problem that I had was that all of my flat cars have sprung Kadee trucks, and on super elevated curves, the camera car wanted to tip over because of the weight of the camera. It was a bit of a balancing act.
Great video Chet! ALCOs can haul anything! Thumbsup
Very nice video and a very nice layout!
