Northbound at Beaver Falls, Pa 10/01/2015. On the left side is a small scale hydro plant with 3 Leffel horizontal turbines that are over a hundred years old. The plant was built in 1983 with new Generators from Ideal Electric (Mansfield, Ohio). [attachment=23986]

Thanks! I took it with one of those new-fangled "smart phones". It definitely doesn't take pictures as well as my camera does (its been sent back for repairs), but it works well in a pinch. Definitely happy I retired the old flip phone.
I've been working on signals lately. They are a simple design using track power to illuminate bi polar red/green LEDS to indicate direction of travel. Even with this basic set up they can enhance operations.

A pair of GP9s hauling a transfer run from Mayfield to West Mill's Float Yard has to wait for a fast freight headed by a trio of six axle U Boats.

Once the train has passed by, the transfer run gets the GREEN and can access the main.
