Cindys Harbor: This is where the Kennequogue River, flowing East ( From top center to bottom right in the picture ) first meets the Salt water of the Sea.

The prominent ship, the "Brigantine" W.W. Marsland, up to the right, will "time-share" that part of the sea wall, with the "Tern", the Cruise ship, and I have just started work on the old Aurora kit of the Whale ship "Wanderer", which some time back I realized was, virtually, and HO scale model of that ship. "Wanderer" can often be seen at Mystic Seaport, and I have seen her moored, in Sag Harbor, N.Y.
Last night I got the hull cut, at the waterline. My intention here is when she is not on the modules, at a show, I can connect the upper hull, to the lower ( below the waterline ) part, which will be secured to a display base, mounted in a glass case, for "home display".
The next scheduled show for the modular group, is in Palatine Illinois, at Harper College, March 5 and 6, 2016, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
I'll be there with these modules.

Some abandoned rails in Chester PA:
During the 50's the Canadian National had a couple of Alco PA demonstators on a trial basis painted in the roads green and gold livery on it's roster. For whatever reasons, the powers that be decided not to keep them.Doctor Wayne and I talked about how good they would have looked painted in the more modern green, yellow and black passenger paint scheme so Wayne created this beauty---just imagine what a sight a pair of these would have made heading the road's Super Continental.

I am told that yesterday was the last time an Amtrak AEM7 turned a wheel in revenue service. From 1980 to 2016, 36 years isn't a bad run. #915 is already at the RR Museum of PA, but I wonder if any of the rebuilt AEM7-ACs will be preserved.

The last 7 or so are the SEPTA AEM7s (they also have the very last single ALP44, a similar model), but SEPTA announced that they are also buying the ACS-64 electrics to replace them.

So, here are my Amtrak AEM7s-

That engine was probably fresh off the assembly line! Its weird to think that as of the other day, they are just a memory, with only one in a museum, and a handful turning their last few wheels on SEPTA (and possibly MARC). Thats progress I suppose!

I makes one wonder if we're not just a few years away from seeing some mainline wide cab six axle diesels in museums as well! I wonder what the life expectancy on a C40-8W is...
