WPMA-21 only had two cars in tow when I caught it at Chestnut Neck.

I bought this Atlas/Roco ALCO S-4 as a winter project around three winters ago. I am now focusing my effort in getting this long over due and almost forgotten project started and finish. This will be SCR 100.

It will be brush painted flat black with a yellow frame and yellow lettering.

Club's spring show was yesterday.Only pictues I took were of my Z show layout.Here is one of them.

These were straight unmodified USRA engines. The only change that I will making to the model appearance is to add the Vanderbilt tender. Like shown behind this R-1

I did strip the paint from her some time ago. I think it was a thickly applied oil based house paint, It did not come off with out a fight. It must have been dropped by someone and poorly repaired as the cab floor shows some sloppy solder and a few of the details were crazy glued back in place.

My resistance rig should be able to fix this heavy bead of solder. It wasn't even holding the floor to the back head... Who ever did it just didn't have enough heat applied to the work.[attachment=25328]

The old open frame motor was barely able to turn.. It was replaced with a newer can that has been kicking around in my parts box you years now. I had to add this "U" shaped bracket over the rear bearing of the gear tower, because in reverse the tower would ride up and pull the U-joint apart. It now acts as a stop not allowing the tower to come out of alignment.[attachment=25327]
