The 300 mm zoom was put to the test to grab this set of MU cars heading west over the bridge.

A light power move probably going back to Hoboken terminal.

I need to post more often! Anyways, I have an eclectic mix.

If any of you heard of Atlas's new announcement, you can be sure that I went into full Freak-Out Mode. If someone told me Atlas would make these models, I wouldn't have believed them.

Pictured are the pre-production samples of Atlas's ALP45DP "Dual Power" locomotive and Comet Multilevel commuter cab car. The only thing that sucks is that I had a few of the Multi-level kits, but those kits are NOTHING compared to the atlas cars.

They even visited on our electric modular club! These were taken last June 4-

Also exciting, IHP is coming out with RTR Silverliner Vs. These aren't Resin kits (like my other EMUs from them). These are built injection molded and made in China. They'll still probably break the bank, but it is nice to see some good Commuter models out there. They will probably start out as SEPTA painted models, though Denver recently bought Silverliner Vs for their airport line as well. These are preproduction shells. There will be Single Cars and Married Pairs.

This a view few people ever get these days! Normally, its a $1500 ticket. Because of low clouds, a $5 tour! From the cockpit of FiFi, the last flyable B29 (though not for long, another B29, doc, Should be flying soon if it hasn't already)

There was a B17 (and many others) at the airshow, though admittedly I semi neglected it, since its not publicly accessible at this show, and there seem to be quite a few B17s still around. Its a bad way of looking at things, but hey, limited camera battery that day.

Such is the pain of all commuter modellers! always the steep price tag. Fortunately, my local hobby shop seems like they will stock up and hold some for me. It also looks like I might get to dig a ditch in exchange for trains (need to install a electric wire for a dog collar). I might be able to squeak out a 10 car consist, which would be ideal.

I didn't take any pictures, but I saw island model works is offering an improved Comet I cab car, rebuilt with high doors. I count the rivets, so you can be sure these are a major improvement over the original Comet I cars by Island Model Works. Might be up your alley. I will definitely pick up one, but I hope he'll make the low door versions to match my older EL era U34CHs.

Speaking of which, rumors of a properly done U34CH exist, with the nose light. Apparently, if the U-boats are ever produced again, they will include NJT versions with the appropriate details.

Lately the passenger situation has been getting exhausting. I'm glad they are being produced, but its hard for me to keep up at this time, and I'm letting a lot of models I really want slip by. there are a lot of MP54s i wish i had, and I can semi justify them since i actually run under wire! The FL9s are tough to. Already on the hook for a Reading Company RDC-1 by rapido.

I still need to boost my Amfleet I roster up, but i've been bogged down in other projects and less than planned purchases.

I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure thats one of the last F40s left in the state. I think all of NJ Transit's F40PH based models are gone. I'm not sure how many Metro North ones like that are left either.
I just saw a metro north F40ph on the port jervis line about 2 weeks ago!!! I have a Bachmann F40ph i bought for $25 bucks still wrap in plastic put decder in it runs like a clock !!!!
