RS3m 9986 will be making a set out at Marlon Canning.

I was scouting out a photo location on the way home yesterday. Now the trick is being there when a train comes through, as traffic here is infrequent and light. When I say that I mean maybe two trains a week that usually run on Tuesdays and Thursdays somewhere between 3 and 7 in the afternoon. So for now I just did a few test shots to find the right angle for the most interesting shot.

I kind of like this one the best, but when the trees grow in not much will be visible.

You shouldn't have shown us the third picture, Steve. Without having seen the footpath across the creek, viewers would have looked at the fourth and thought, "Wow! What a dedicated train-nut photographer that Steve is, wading out in that cold water to check out photo angles." Misngth

I do agree, though, that there are some good angles available at that location. Thumbsup Thumbsup

That's the Cherry creek, in Delaware Water Gap PA, and the water there is very cold. I was supposed to be up in Scranton today to work on the B unit, but the person that was going to unlock the restoration shop for us was sick. Needless to say after a bunch of phone calls we decided to call it quits for the day, so I stopped by the DL's South Scranton yard to check in on our FA-2.
Here's a few shots of the storage tracks filled with ALCO's.

Bruce, are RS3ms commercially available or did you bash that one? Great looking loco!

Ralph,

9986 a DeWitt style RS3m, was done with castings from Tiger Valley Models. I talked to him several years ago about getting additional parts but he had none available and did not know when he would be recasting. I used this number to contact him, 315-548-9021. Are you looking to do a DeWitt or Altoona style?
