Deano,
Thanks, trying to keep this thread going but it doesn't seem like there is much interest anymore.

I enjoy this thread, I just haven't had anything to contribute lately. Recovering from 2 total knee replacements but it won't be long now until I am back to it.

I got another affordable gauge to test the curves of the upcoming Freelance 2018-1 layout. A Walthers Mainline SD70ACe. It got a Tsunami 2 sound decoder. The fibers for the front light and ditch light got replaced with prewired SMD LEDs. The rear ditch lights are added (looks like the prototype has rear ditch lights). The shiny wheels are easy to tone down Tidy Track Painter"Steel rail" without disassembling the trucks.

You're right Bruce---not sure what has happened as there are so many talented modellers on Big Blue---it would be nice to see everyone's pictures again.Thank you for your on-going contributions and keeping this thread active. Here's a scene from Leetown

Aww, this has by far always been my fav thread .
It might not be a good excuse but in the winter here my basement is real cold, so modeling kinda dies off for me in the winter and comes back in the summer months when the basement is a great place because its nice and cool .
Besides, my layout isn't close to done and who wants to see all the different engines/cars I have in the same couple settings , not very fun for you folks I am sorry  .
The pics you folks post weekly are very inspirational, ALWAYS a joy to see!

I wonder too if some have not become discouraged after losing so many pictures to the new photo bucket rules. I enjoyed going back over the old posts and now many are gone, and even sadder, so is the poster.

Some folks here may also not be aware that you can add photos on this site by posting them as attachments. The photo must be re-sized before doing so, but for Windows users, there are free re-sizing "Power Toys" with which to do so quickly and easily.
I'm still with photobucket, so here are a few views from the model railroad club in Sebring, Ohio...

here's a few pics that I took a week or two ago but didn't get the chance to post. A few shots of some switching on what's left of the PB&NE at the Bethlehem steel plant .
