Two Stewart Hobbies C628's are on coal duty rolling over the Mud Run bridge.  The half-hearted paint out of the former Penn Central unit is a reflection of the union's feeling toward this new thing called Conrail.  These beasts will soon be shipped west to Mingo Junction...

After 30 years I have revived the Little Beaver Creek Valley Railroad.  I was in charge of painting the big un in August of 1992. My major helper was a lad that had just turned 18 by the name of Michael Manwiller. ( https://www.linkedin.com/in/michael-manwiller-88424861) There were a couple days we had to knock off because it was too hot. The locomotive had to be ready for their train festival on September 21st.  We finished up at 4AM that morning.  [attachment=39920]

I painted this BB Athearn just shortly after that and I figured it was time to make it go. The decals were printed on ink jet decal paper. I used clear for the black letters, but the Yellow had to be done on white decal paper I got as close as I could with the red around the letters.  Some touch up is in order and minor repairs are to be made.

The locomotive went to the Ohio Central but Jerry kept it in this paint. The G&W finally repainted it to their orange colors and it is still working in Georgia the last I heard.

That's a sharp looking unit Charlie.
Steam always will be king on the Leetown Division---here's a pair of "hogs" earning their keep.

The classic lines of the RS36, and a classic paint scheme for the D&H.  One of these days I have to get around to weathering both of mine.
