Coming along nicely....
That gravel/dirt looks good, like the real stuff, Mike. All the dirt around here looks like mud.

Thanks Don!
Wayne thank you. I use the finest sized gravel WS makes then go over that with a layer of wood ashes from a wood stove and rub them in really good to take out more of the coarseness which is always a challenge in N scale. However I no longer own a wood burning stove so I may have to try ashes from the BB-Q when my current stock runs out.
Hey, Mike, if you get desperate, I'll mail you some wood-ash - we have a woodstove, which is well-used every winter.
Wayne
Thanks Wayne, I'll keep that in mind!
I agree with Wayne... That scenery looks great! My dirt/gravel never looks that good.
Mikey try rubbing it with sandpaper to blend the sizes together.

I'll have to try that!!
I'm calling this done. A before and after
Big improvement, Mike, and, if I haven't mentioned it before, a great-looking backdrop, too.

That looks great!! Nice work!
Thanks guys, Wayne my backdrops are from Realistic Backgrounds.
As always, a great job. If I could come close to achieving what you do, I'd be one happy pappy...
