Another great shot, Bruce!  That is one exceptional background!

It's 1976 and here's a sample of glory of the rainbow years.  A U25B leads a pair of C628's over the White Haven Bridge.  The GE (EL) unit and the former Penn Central units are resplendent in their "CR" patches.  The paint crew doesn't have the heart to touch the Cornell Red on the former LVRR unit who's still running with it's original roster number.

TMo,
Nice job on the bridge piers. Are they pre-formed and you colored them, or did you have to construct them? Glenn
Going back in time, both scale and prototype.  Filling the tender at the Red Bank coaling tower. Photo is from 2007 at my friend and Kiski volunteer Bob Bednarik's. Bob passed away a year ago on July 23. He was a master modeler, Live steamer, and he was an expert on railroad history, especially in Western, Pa. [attachment=41028]

Bruce - Great photo and outstanding background. Where do you get them?

Todd - It was worth the wait. Great looking scene.

Charlie - Great scene. That layout must have been awesome based on this photo.

A new road visits Leiperville Union Station. Richmond Fredericksburg & Potomac E8A (Proto 2000) leads a local.

A great start to this week's WPF---here's a couple of Leetown's "hogs' sitting in the yard.

Glenn,

Those started out life as green blocks of Styrofoam (3" thick from a 4x8 sheet).  The construction is buried in this blog entry (consolidated Mud Run and White Haven RR Bridge development)... Let the hardscape begin! (morristhemoosetm.wixsite.com).  I cut them to rough size, hand cut the slopes with a Japanese dovetail saw, spackled them, etched the blocks and then painted.
TMo and Tom, thanks for the comments.
TMo, I agree with Glenn, nice job on the bridge piers.
Tom, my backgrounds are from King Mill Enterprise, which is no longer in business.  Some are from Trackside Flats and others are photos that I have taken over the years and printed out.  This weeks photo is of the old Anchor Glass plant in Salem, NJ.

Bruce
I'm always very impressed with Bruce's background shots, especially those he has created from a local scene.I've tried following Bruce's lead and whenever I see a scene that I like I make a copy and try to to fit in into a train related photo. Here's an example.
