Re: RobL's Layout - Jesso - 12-13-2009 You trestle looks very nice! You have the makings of a very great scene. Love it! Re: RobL's Layout - Ralph - 12-13-2009 Very nice work on the trestle. Ralph Re: RobL's Layout - cnw1961 - 12-13-2009 Great job on that trestle and overall a very nice scene . Re: RobL's Layout - sgtcarl1 - 12-13-2009 Fan-tastic work!! and workmanship!! Looks very realistic! I had to get my nose practically up against my moniter, to be certain it wasn't a prototype!! Re: RobL's Layout - Steamtrains - 12-28-2009 That's a VERRRYYYY good looking trestle.....I see one in my layout's future.....What is that Black Bear jig you mentioned..?? Keep up the excellent work and keep us posted..... Re: RobL's Layout - RobL - 12-29-2009 Thanks for all the kind words... The next step is cast some rocks and place a small waterfall beyond the trestle... I am planning on scratch building (oh boy) a covered bridge to span across the creek, and finally beyond the bridge, a curved trestle... one step at a time though... Steamtrains: The Black Bear jig made building the trestle a piece of cake... check out http://www.blackbearcc.com... I have never built anything like it before, so even for a rookie, it made it quite easy! They sell the jigs, wood, stains, etc. to make great looking bridges and trestles and the owner was very responsive with my questions before I ordered. Stay warm, --Rob.
