Re: RobL's Layout - RobL - 12-29-2009

Thanks for all the kind words...

The next step is cast some rocks and place a small waterfall beyond the trestle... I am planning on scratch building (oh boy) a covered bridge to span across the creek, and finally beyond the bridge, a curved trestle... one step at a time though...

Steamtrains: The Black Bear jig made building the trestle a piece of cake... check out http://www.blackbearcc.com... I have never built anything like it before, so even for a rookie, it made it quite easy! They sell the jigs, wood, stains, etc. to make great looking bridges and trestles and the owner was very responsive with my questions before I ordered.

Stay warm,
--Rob.
