Nope I use a screwdriver to mix paint RE: N-Gauger's 2020 one foot challenge - ngauger - 03-17-2020 (03-16-2020, 12:54 PM)doctorwayne Wrote:(03-16-2020, 12:14 PM)ezdays Wrote: This project is sponsored by Sherwin-Williams..... You'll note that the wood is stamped "100% wood" No plastic additives!! My wooden buildings are all 100% plastic - no trees were harmed in their production. Wayne RE: N-Gauger's 2020 one foot challenge - ngauger - 03-23-2020 Wayne.... Good that you use plastics, Saves a lot of trees Here is the lower roof. The top edge is the overhang for the front of the building. RE: N-Gauger's 2020 one foot challenge - doctorwayne - 03-24-2020 So the top edge of the lower roof is the overhang for the front...you're just sayin' it that way so we can't follow whatcher doin', eh? Come on, he needs to use up the other half of all those paint stir sticks somewhere.... RE: N-Gauger's 2020 one foot challenge - ngauger - 03-25-2020 I got the sides glued to the back and then i installed the awning base RE: N-Gauger's 2020 one foot challenge - Tyson Rayles - 03-26-2020 Coming along nicely Mikey! RE: N-Gauger's 2020 one foot challenge - ezdays - 03-26-2020 Agree, it was hard to get a prospective on size, now I can, thanks to these photos..... RE: N-Gauger's 2020 one foot challenge - doctorwayne - 03-26-2020 Okay, I see how it's coming together now, although that Halloween tail-end observation car is causing me some confusion. At first, I thought it to be a full-length car, but the angle of the photo almost makes it look like a more modern large-scale version of Walthers' "Piker", an HO scale single-trucked heavyweight observation car. A snazzy-looking paint job for sure, though! Wayne RE: N-Gauger's 2020 one foot challenge - ngauger - 03-26-2020 Wayne: It's a G Scale Eggliner: https://www.amazon.com/Bachmann-Trains-Powered-Vehicle-Eggliner/dp/B01M0H7J4G No - I didn't pay that much for it They are made for large scale railroads with tight curves. They run great on my 96" diameter (4' Radius) curves Thanks everyone for the kind remarks RE: N-Gauger's 2020 one foot challenge - ngauger - 03-26-2020 Here is the lower roof in place RE: N-Gauger's 2020 one foot challenge - BR60103 - 03-27-2020 Wayne: The Eggliner is 2 observation car ends mounted on a truck from a GPx. My wife has 2 of them. RE: N-Gauger's 2020 one foot challenge - doctorwayne - 03-28-2020 Thanks, David. I wouldn't be surprised if the idea was lifted from the Piker, though. Wayne RE: N-Gauger's 2020 one foot challenge - ngauger - 03-30-2020 Well..... I am installing the upper roof. That's letting the glue dry. Now you can see what i mean when I said that the lower roof would be the awning and the top would be the second roof. We have to have a screen in there in case we want to work on steam engines. |
