For the time being I have decided not to add any roof vents. I may add them at a later date.

I placed the building on the layout. I am pretty shore this will not be its final location.

What is next?

I am leaning toward the West End Market by City Classics.

The west end market is a great kit. I built it myself a number of years ago, adding lights and an interior.

Unfortunately the West End Market will not be done at this time. Due to a mishap in the garage while trying to find sealer several objects fell on the walls. They were all knocked on the floor. Four out of five were recovered. The last section is still MIA.

All is not lost for the kit. I did find another one on that auction site and I am waiting for delivery. Thus somewhere down the road the West End Market will be included on the layout.

In the meantime the kit now being worked on is the Main Street Cafe by City Classics.

Once again I forgot tto take a picture of the unstarted kit pieces.

First thing is to paint the walls red brick and the window sills concrete.

Next is to paint the tile on the front wall.

Lastly painting the border tiles black.

For the mortar I am going to try Robert's Brick Mortar Formula

Here we are with our experimental wall section

Step 1 - Paint the mortar on the wall

Let it dry.

Use a damp rag to remov the dried material.
