I am needing alot of extra track for my Marklin HO layout I will be building in the future,I had this set for many years but still do not know much about that brand. I think its a early 60s set.

I assume that your track is the tinplate base with stud contact? Marklin made a couple of other types -- I think there is one like snap track with plastic ties. And an older one with a third rail. So find out which one you want. There should be some compatibility.

There is still an older metal track, which had a real third rail in the middle
