Your work is fast my friend. It is hard to inmagine that this was South Cal a few months ago. At first I was saying "What?!!" when you made the move but soon all the pieces came together and now it looks phantastic! I guess the rural farming areas does give you a feeling of relaxation and a feeling of home! Well done!

Thanks for the friendly comments. May be it will take some time until I do another little video.
A new toy arrived from M.B.Klein today. Athearn made a beautiful model, the drive needs some more break in to be really smooth but the "bulb technology" is outdated. They are dimmed far to much for a modern engine to prevent excessive heat and short live time. ![]() ps. Shipping was very unusual this time. The parcel arrived at Chicago USPS facility 8/1. That was the last entry I could trace at USPS and DHL online tracking sides. I was concerned and expected a lost parcel. Only seven days later had the parcel made it's way over the pond, through central customs, to local customs and a paper letter arrived in my postbox on 8/7. That was outstanding fast but absolute no online trace of the parcel. It is still shown in Chicago..... :?:

I intend to replace this Vernon prototype based building with a freelance complex made of Pikestuff elements. Two kits are on order to get the raw material. I could not find a suitable prototype at the MAW and will go freelance/phantasy therefor. The sole purpose is to have loading/unloading of boxcars on the layout.
The kind of prototype used for Pikestuff is extreme universal and wide spread in the US and I can kitbash a structure fitting in my space. And last not least I like the plain blue Pikestuff architecture. We will get shiny steel bins at the left, red bricks at the right and friendly blue in the center.

Looks as though the driver of the blue truck cut it fairly close - Good thing the cops weren't sitting nearby on a "donut" break!

The little operating story continues.
Three new cars on their way ![]() and set out at the customers loading docks ![]() The hopper goes to another customer ![]() on it's way to the elevator ![]() Two full hoppers will leave town with the local ![]() passing down town ![]() and entering the yard ![]() The local is ready to depart

That is a very nice set of photos... I have been eyeballing on your track plan and I have found that it would work fine with me too... If i am to stay here another winter, I might get along to make a L-shaped layout along the walls... I guess as mentioned above, the scenes you create are very credible and in this MAW version very eye pleasing to see...

Reinhard, very nice scenes and pics, but the best about your MAW layout is your GP20. I love that engine!
