Glued and painted the base for the small road and made two grade crossings. I intended to use BLMA #4105 but there are no residuals on the local market. I photoshoped some images to make my own panels from paper. Nice try but the outcome is not satisfactory. Something to do better on the next layout.
Made new simpler grade crossings

Built a new un/loading facility with a shelter. They are wonderful universal and can be used with lots of tank and covered hopper cars. The old piping will be used with another industry soon. The base of the road (foreground) with two grade crossings has been built too.
ps. The grade crossings got putty and sanding this morning

Preparing the ballasting and ground cover application by excluding all streets, buildings, loading docks etc. with a thin foam layer. The delicate paper laminated buildings will be removed while the ground cover is applied around their foam socket with lots of water.

Applying the base layer of ground cover is a messy thing. It is very fine stuff close to dust (German brand ASOA #1398). The tracks, ballast and the street is protected by blue tape. Tomorrow will be the great hoover day :-)
We have wonderful spring weather and everything dries much faster than assumed The global basics are set. Next are details of the individual areas.

The old Noch Grasmaster made some green patches and two gaps between buildings got closed with small trees. Future weeds and shrubs will remove the beauty of a golf course.
