and after you build the scale test car, you'll have to build a scale to test.

I saw one once go by on a CN bulkhead flat.

In model railroading, there are between six and two hundred ways of performing a given task.
Most modellers can get two of them to work.

Yes I am going to have to. I am going to do my research and see what I can come up with.

Painting is complete along with the brake wheel and handrails put on. I gave it a rough paint job to give it some character and to try to show some age.
Now to get some decals and finish this small, quick, and easy build.

I'm still alive all. I have just been busy doing stuff outside and around the house since it's summer. The future wife has projects lined up to get done. Hopefully once fall gets here I can start to finish some of the projects.

Great to know someone else has similar problems finding time for hobbies. I keep telling people my model railroad is a 15-year project. The problem is, I started in 2006!

During the summer is always slower but once winter hits, I will pick up right where I left off. I did sit down last night and created a Engine / Car Repair form for the future Railroad. I went off of and as close as possible what the C&I had for their Railroad.

With the start of the colder weather approaching, it is now the down time of the year of not being outside so I decided to start on my projects again. This summer has been a busy one for us here. Last night I started to decal the other caboose I have for the C&I. Granted it is not accurate for the caboose but my kitbashing skills are not exactly up to par as most people. I took a stock caboose and turned it into caboose #56. This marks the second caboose in the fleet of the 3-4 I want to have.

Pictures included are of Caboose #56 and #56 sitting inside the engine house with Caboose #54, Engine #37 & #34

The fleet looks great, Matt! I know what you mean about the summer, and with the colder weather and it turning pitch black by the time I get home from work, I have more time available to devote to interior hobbies.

Thank you. It's a work in progress. Yeah this time of the year stinks because of how quickly it gets dark but here soon I will be getting outside to decorate for Christmas but other than that, the evenings will be dedicated to the model trains.

I did a number change on the slug unit. I changed it from #64 to #116. Also it is a remote controlled unit if it is needed to be used in the yards to move empties and loaded hopper cars around to make room for more.
