Now here is the real question. How many of these cars that we have taken photo's of are still on the rails today? I know freight cars have a lifespan of 20 or so years due to regs, but nowadays especially this way, we aren't seeing as many now.

FRA allows 50 years without a major rebuild. There are exceptions.
