Heard a detector call out at milepost 258.9 this morning and ran down to the tracks to catch two east bounds and a west bound. Didn't expect to catch 3 trains at once.

In this train I seen what looked like to be a old hopper car. Don't know how old this is.

There used to be lots of railroad snow removal equipment in Cresson just for times like these. They even had a hopper with ice breakers on it to keep the tunnel roof free of ice. I haven't seen the equipment there for years. Seems like railroad mentality hit once again. If you didn't use it yesterday then scrap it.
Now we are coming back into the cold winter cycle once again and they don't have any equipment to handle the job. Charlie

Hey Charlie. I remember seeing that hopper sitting there in the cresson yard when I was a kid. Still had it's PRR Markings on it if I remember correctly. They have the Jordan Spreader out and about. But right now it has a blown cyclinder and is being changed at this time.
