Hello,
just purchased:
Brekina has now released some of their 2021 news. There are some classic trucks of the 70's and early 80's too.
Peterbilt 359 with extended sleeper.
There is a headache rack too. The opening in the fifth wheel is intended for the thick kingpins of Herpa origin.
Kenworth K100 Aerodyne.
These models will give some fine fodder for conversions.

Hello,
this truck was built badly with many askew mounted parts and use of lots of glue:
So i decided to disasselble it.
And investigate it's possible potential for kitbashing.
So i ordered another model which was fairly straight assembled. Here the big tanks were cut off the frame by the means of a mini circular sawblade in my Proxxon.
But for the other model i started more disassembling.
The brake reservoirs have also to be gone.
My idea is to convert this highway truck into a logging truck with a pusher axle.

I can't say it any better than Days.
"You don't need many words Lutz, the photos speak for themselves. I am taken back with what you do with these trucks, and the details that are there and the one's you add. "

Hello,
a semi is only one half without a trailer.
Found this container semi trailer in my grab box. This was once a typical European design with 3 perched axles, single wheels and rather long rear overhang.
This was converted by me to "americanize" this trailer. Now two axles mounted on the very end and have dual wheels.
This was once a conventional trailer with 5 axles from Kibri. A heavy duty with rather small wheels and extra width. It was converted to a semi trailer and got the usual 22.5 wheels.
This was a European semi log trailer with wide spread and steerable axles. Now ist has two fixed axles at the read end.
After some painting.
And adding some details.
There may be a useful logging truck created.

Thanks for pointing out that some 70's trucks are available - I'll have to look into Brekina's site. Would fit nicely on my layout.

Hello,
Brekina has finally delivered two more long ago announced US Trucks:
1970's GMC General with a quite boxy sleeper.

And the classic 1955 Peterbilt 281 just out of the box.
This rig was created by mating a Mini Metals tank trailer and a Brekina Peterbilt 281. Both vehicles were modified
Sorry no rust brown colours, this Hollywood imagination you have to do by yourself.
