Kent those are some nice buildings are they HO? I model in S , On30 and Hirail O. I have a tiny bit of HO that I have found at yard sales and thrift stores Locos mostly and most of them F units with the SF warbonnet paint schemes they have been used as test projects of being repainted in my free lanced BFT (Buckeye Freight and Terminal) once I have the painting skills to where I want will be painting up some larger scaled locos in the BFT paint scheme. The only layout I have at the moment is a copy track wise of one of lionels postwwar display layouts, I have to stop buying trains and look for the operating accessories to "complete" the display layout. One day I will have a detailed hirail layout as the coal industry in Appallatian(spell check is not working at the moment) is what I want to model with the freelanced Railroad name I came up with.
Anyway back to 3D printing I found out that the Makerbot 3D scanner is being offered at $1400.00 which is out of my budget at this time maybe in a year or two I can get one.
