Rolling stock on the Potomac Line

PY-2 had an interesting car in it's consist today.


Turns out it was an ex-New Haven RDC-4 from the Kings Port & Western, to be delivered to the B&P shops at Potomac, Va. Apparently it is to be converted to a coach, similar to the Virginia Rail Express "Boise Budd" cars.


Here we see the window section being prepped...


and installed.

You can see where the doors used to be, the windows added, and the roof bulge removed and replaced.
