There's some restrictions in the software that we have no control over. I get upset when I'm trying to upload four or five photos to a post and can only do them one at a time. If there was a way to do batch uploads we would enable that function but there isn't. I know you can batch upload to many photo -sharing sites, but I'm not sure if vBulletin allowed for that either, I'll check just to satisfy my curiosity. Even then, we have no plans on changing software; the consequences of that are too harsh to even think about. So unless phpBB adds that function, we are stuck with the way things are.

As far as the restriction of only five attachments per post, we have some control over that, but it was put in place to make a post more readable. There are posts here with linked photos of much more than five photos and that is a lot to digest in one gulp. The restriction was also put there to help those that have a slow Internet connection can view the post without waiting sometimes minutes for the photos to load. I know, there aren't too many that still are on dial-up or some other slow connection, but even with a high speed connection, sometimes things download slower that one would like.

I can understand your reluctance to link to something like Photobuckets, but one thing you could do Charlie is to upload to our gallery and then link to there in you post.
