The gold stars on the sides still have to have the area surrounding them painted black. my memory remembers red in the band surrounding the letters and the B&W picture shows 2 different shades of gray so I am probably OK with it. It probably doesn't matter until someone comes up with the color picture I couldn't find.
I am finding out a lot of information on sites on facebook. It is amazing the pictures people are posting and the memories that are being shared. My home town has a FB site and I am sure there are more of them, and all you need do is ask some questions, or post a picture, and someone will help you out. There are quite a few older folks on that medium and they are like having hard drives full of information.
I find as I go along, there are a lot of interesting things that catch my eye. I am putting buildings similar to what I remember, but there is no way to make them fit where they would have been. I am going to place some great looking building backgrounds from other places too since I really am not modelling a prototype town.
I hope some day to get around to making everything a little better, but all I really need is to make me happy, and so far so good.
You guys do inspire me.
