Take it round to Chris - 'e'll 'it it wiv a big 'ammer!- the sound you just heard was me departing rapidly!
....and I know it sounds silly - but you are trying to put it on the right way round - I had that problem trying to get the shell onto another loco and discovered eventually that it was reversed
