My Grandfather, who lived there, asked me once if I had heard that in Maine there are two seasons, Wintah, and the Fawth of July.
When I told him I had heard that, he stated 'taint true ! Truth of the matter is, up here we have eleven months of wintah, and one month of bad sleddin'.
