August 24 2014 - - - August 24 1954, Noyac Bay, North shore of the South fork of Eastern Long Island, N.Y., I went for a swim.

I guess that makes this day, the 60th anniversary of the beginning of my insanity
"In late August 1954, Hurricane Carol would become the most powerful storm to strike Southern New England since the Great New England Hurricane of 1938." It was followed, in rapid succession, by Hurricanes, Dolly, and Edna.
