If you are interested in the DC version to do your own DCC or sound decoders you should read this paper http://www.rapidotrains.com/manuals/GMD ... sh_Web.pdf . You will need a 21 pin decoder to drop in and the speaker is not available at the market. Rapido will offer a sound decoder/speaker combo some time later as described in this paper http://www.rapidotrains.com/decoders.html .
Anyhow, there is plenty of space in the engine and you can easy make your own PCB to connect the decoder of choice. A perfect matching speaker might be a problem due to the unusual shape. Refer to position 134 of this drawing http://www.rapidotrains.com/manuals/GMD ... xplode.pdf
