A multi industry ISL gives you a better option on what industry to switch unlike a 2 industry ISL that leaves a slimmer choice.

IMHO and based on my experience my ISLs needs at least 4 industries and a team/transload track for best operation options.

Of course every modelers ISL operational needs varies.
