What is the height of your layout?

Well, I finally put the legs on my layout base and as I suspected, 42" is going to be a bit higher than I like. I want to be able to reach everything without standing on a stool and I cannot. As I said, I can cut the legs down by as much as 5", but I think I'll settle for around 2". Let's face it, at my age, I need comfort before appearances and I want to be able to work on it either standing up or sitting on a high stool. I should be able to do that at 39 to 40". So, there goes my afternoon...
