Yeah Pete, some officials have figured it out, but we have hoarders and "preppers" that have made ammo scarce. Most calibers are back on shelves now, but for some reason, .22 LR is still hard to find. That's why I was shocked that there wasn't a line yesterday at Walmart to buy what they had.
These people wait in line as early as 1 AM (the sports dep't opens at 7), just to be sure to be first in line. Maybe that market is getting saturated, and maybe the government's ordering 2 1/2 billion rounds for Homeland Security is not working to keep us from having any ammo for sport.

To the best of my knowledge, the document I am about to quote, has not yet been banned from public knowledge, so I'll quote it here.
