Walters stopped shipping via LHS
#8
I never realized, that when I started scratchbuilding parts that my LHS didn't have in stock, I was inadvertently "sidestepping" a lot of all that "Red Tape" ........ and at the same time, Living life on one more learning curve. I am also beginning to appreciate that I have several Hobby Shops within a reasonable drive from home.
One of the products I use a lot of is the scale wood blocks ( pulleys ) for my ship and boat models. I have found just the right source of just the right wood, to scratch-build those, when they are not available .
:o It's only taken a couple of dozen years to get to where I can do that now. Confusedhock: - - - - - It's been worth the effort. Wink Big Grin
We always learn far more from our own mistakes, than we will ever learn from another's advice.
The greatest place to live life, is on the sharp leading edge of a learning curve.
Lead me not into temptation.....I can find it myself!
