nice looking Loco....Love those old Alco´s
I want to build one or two RS18 with some kitbashing/scratchbuilding from RS11/32 shell etc....but that´s another story....Have one Proto RS18 but have to put a decoder in it first and repaint it for BCR.
I have used a combination of Peco Code83 turnouts and ME weathered/non weathered Code70 Track for industrial spurs. Flattened the railjoiners on one end and soldered the code 70 rail on top, working fine,I used the Peco ties for the ME track.
Your new layout idea sounds very nice.Keep it going.
