I am sooooo tempted to set aside the Tern, and start an outside frame 2-6-6-2 bash from a pair of On30 2-6-0 locos.
Then again the challenge would be long over before I even came close to being finished.
The frames would have to be scratch-built in brass, and that would be the greater part of the construction time.
I think I'll settle for having the Tern on the modules at Trainfest, In Milwaukee .......even if only partially done. It could be "post launch", moored at the seawall , awaiting masting and rigging.
