I belong to Friends of the Library which sells used books from the library and from donations and gives the money back to the library. Being as we have an excursion RR here we get lots of RR tourists thru here and any RR books or mags fly off the shelf! I have also left some at my doctors waiting rooms but when I return they are always gone 
. I asked if the staff was throwing them out but they said no, the patients were taking them home.
