Wow thanks everyone! I've been visiting this forum for a couple years and there are so many great layouts, and so much to learn. I appreciate everyone's interest in mine as well.
Reinhard, for all the ideas I took from your layout you can definitely take this one! That recycle center started as a mish mash of leftover styrene and an empty space on the layout. I take many walks in Los Angeles, looking for ideas, and that building is based on ones I saw from the 9th Street Bridge (East Olympic Blvd) in Downtown LA. Here's some Google Street View screen shots and a link:

Not exact copies but definitely representative of typical LA warehousing. For the cardboard and paper bales that fill the area, well I'm still perfecting an idea for that.
