Continuing with the winter of '78. The crew in the cabin car of this westbound freight at Highland (Summit) cut are more than likely huddled around the kerosene heater.  Give them a few more miles and time for the car to warm up and it will be nice and toasty in the cupola. I can bet they are hoping for an incident free trip.
