Trains on this day in the past:
Today I am sharing a photo from a magic lantern that I scanned for the Historical Society, 3/15/1915. The train has been marooned on the Cleveland line which runs from Pittsburgh to Cleveland. The flood had crested just moments before the picture was taken. The flooding was an annual occurrence at this time. During the late 1930's and into the 1940's the Corps of Engineers built many flood control lakes in Ohio, Pa, and West Virginia and that was a major help.     Charlie
