Good afternoon. 
     It's overcast here from the tropical storm. We are not to get much rain because it is supposed to stay west and travel north of us. I have friends in Texas that cleaned a tree from their driveway and went camping, the downed tree was the only major damage for them and they were high and dry though they did get lots of rain. 
 
     My friend Mike will be heading back to Utah after the Empress arrives back in Calgary tomorrow.  It has been a long trip but what an excursion for him. He has been on the train for the entire trip.  The railroad is going to put the locomotive into a heated storage building and he says he doesn't know of plans to run it again.
 
     I worked on a locomotive yesterday that was noisy. I disassembled it and lubed it well and it helped a lot. I think it will run well after some more run time. 

     Another friend has passed away, 9 years younger than I am. He was a great guy and helped me many times. I will miss him.
