Remember the Day of Infamy, gang.
29 with lots of clear skies this morning in the remote wastelands of northern Iowa. Supposed to get to the mid 50s today and tomorrow. Should be a very pleasant weekend.
I skipped the gym yesterday but that doesn't mean I skipped working. After a windstorm earlier in the week I had another batch of leaves to clean up. Since the yard waste disposal site is closed for the season I herded them all to the driveway. Then tragedy struck. It seems the fell on a match and a conflagration ensued. There were no survivors. After that I trimmed the bridal wreath bushes way back.. They were getting way out of hand. I now have a pile of branches on the patio that will need to be chopped up and there may be another event in the future involving flame.
More family activities last night and through the weekend. A Christmas concert for one of the great-grandsons last night, a basketball game at noon today, and a birthday party tomorrow at 4.
Gas price is coming back down. It was $2.79 yesterday. Eggs were $4.47 at Walmart.
