Years ago, I read somewhere that the U.S. has become complacent about war. Mostly due, to that, we have not had a recent war fought on our soil and we have never been bombed.

Other countries have that respect, in that, they still have memories of what the world looked like with a lot of buildings damaged by war.

Yup, how different things might be had New York City been like the London blitz. War destroys cities and kills people. It contaminates the soil, the skies and people's minds all for what?
