Good morning folks
It is a damp 52 heading up to 54.
Still recovering from the back injection on Friday. Some pain is back bt it is nowhere near what it was before the injection. It could take up to two weeks for the medicine to take full effect so some pain is to be expected. I am definitely getting around better. I did not realize how far down I had gone.
Saturday my wife and I ran some errands. We had to go to Kohl’s and drop off an Amazon return and she had to pick up an order. Then it was onto Staples for a Happy Return. She ordered some shoes that turned out to be too small. The company uses the Happy Return service to handle their returns. Next was PetSmart and then finally the grocery store. I did some laundry but no heavy lifting.
Sunday my wife and daughter went to a local library’s used book sale. I had to go back to Kohl’s to return the item my wife picked up on Saturday as it was too large. I also had to drop off a package for her at the UPS Store. I stopped at the grocery store to get some snacks for work, and to get gas.
Friday, I fixed the couplers on three Rapido PRR FD30 flat cars. For some reason the couples that came installed would not hold another coupler. I swapped them out for some Kadee #5 couplers. Saturday all was going good. I was running some trains when all of a sudden the locomotives started surging. I spent the rest of Saturday and most of Sunday trying to figure out what was going on. Since this happened with the last four locomotives I ran I suspected the issue was with the track. I did find one section of track that I had to be replaced. With the help of some folks here it appears that the problem is with the locos. Now trying to figure out what exactly is going on.
Tonight I will take it easy when I get home from work. I may feel better but I don’t want to overdo it.
