Greetings, gang.
Currently 33 and very windy with a thunderstorm complete with lightning, thunder, rain, sleet and possibly some snow. Rather than try to summarize here's the latest forecast from the NWS:
Rain, snow, and sleet before 10am, then snow, possibly mixed with sleet between 10am and 1pm, then snow after 1pm. The rain, snow, and sleet could be heavy at times. Some thunder is also possible. Widespread blowing snow after 10am. Temperature falling to around 32 by 11am. Very windy, with a north northeast wind 28 to 37 mph, with gusts as high as 60 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow and sleet accumulation of 5 to 9 inches possible.
Gonna be a long day. I just hope the power doesn't go out.
One of my daughters showed up yesterday and we had a nice visit for about an hour and a half. I skipped the gym, it was more fun talking with my daughter. After lunch I did get in a nice bike ride. When I got back I sent a very pleasant e-mail to our local constabulary asking for the current location of our automated speeding ticket dispenser since it was not at the location indicated on their web site. Half an hour later I checked their website and discovered that the unit was "not deployed."
Gas was $2.89 yesterday.
