Good afternoon
It's cloudy but so far the rain has missed us. We had 4 in a row over 90° with high humidity. I am on an air conditioned room and it is a comfortable 76°.
I haven't been out for 4 days so I have no idea what gas prices are.
I talked to Wayne Wednesday night and he sounded great and didn't have any memory lapses. We talked for over an hour. I have been reading that some people with dementia have been having good luck with a nicotine patch and I told him about that. It would be a blessing if it helped him. They say it won't heal what has gone but it appears to slow down or stop the progression. There are other holistic remedies but I keep that stuff to myself. I take several to combat my prostate cancer and I am still living so they may be working..
It took 4 days to mow grass this week because I did not want to be in the sun and heat for over 20 minutes. It doesn't look great but it will not be hard to do right when it coos down. I had heat stroke in August 1995 and a little heat goes a long way with me.
I made a few more hand rails for the C40-8w last night and started assembling one of the 3 Stewart C628 locomotives I am doing in LV livery. One will be red and 2 will be white elephants. They include a little piece of thin double back tape to hold the marker light plastic optics in place. I fumble for 20 minutes trying to get the paper off and finally just lined the pieces up and used CA to hold them in place. Tonight shoulde finist installing all but the hand rails on all 3 of them. I want to decal them before I do the rails.
Have a great week end everyone.
