Yeah, those "White Elephants" were the "Snowbird" scheme and were completely different from anything else on the roster. Only four survived in that scheme all the way up to "Conrail Day 1", and they were brutally abused by the patchers (large black patches over the "LEHIGH VALLEY" and the red flag). I've always been tempted to create that look, but my fleet of C628's is already ridiculously large (although they are one of my favorite Alcos). Those clear light bars on the Stewarts are certainly a pain in the neck, but they are cool when you get some light into them and get all six of those circular lights above the road numbers lit up.
It's good to hear that you had a good conversation with Dr. Wayne and we'll keep crossing our fingers that he continues to have good days.
