Greetings, gang.
46 clear degrees this morning in the remote reaches of northern Iowa. Supposed to get to the low 70s later as the NWS puts the sun back up where it belongs. Chances of rain and minor thunderstorms overnight tonight.
Yesterday went according to plan. Wall, ceiling, and crown molding have all been painted. This morning will see the occurrence of some minor touch up painting before removal of the carpet. Once that is removed I'll be making trip number 12 to Menards for quarter round. After that has been installed it will be time to start restoring order to the living room. I also need to order new drapes for the living room and curtains for my office.
This morning was slightly eventful. As I was sitting here catching up on the overnight news there was a strange sound. Turned out to be a bat. I propped open the front door and turned on lights upstairs and in other parts of the house. I didn't see it happen but I'm assuming my visitor took advantage of the open door policy to visit darker areas. Problem solved.
