Partly cloudy and 61 outside my window this morning. 74 today, 80s Wed. and Thur., and 90 by Friday but with lower humidity it shouldn't be too bad.
Yesterday was the 3 week anniversary of the beginning of the Great Living Room Project and of course the end date keeps moving away. When I pulled up the old carpet there was a 7x8 patch where a previous area rug had been. That rug had apparently taken the stain out of the flooring. I had been thinking about getting the floor refinished but thought I'd try some stain as an test. It matched up well enough that I stained the entire area. It's a little darker than the rest of the floor but close enough. This morning I need to put some varnish over that and then let the whole are cure for at lest a week before I put the new area rug in place. On a positive note I learned that all the remaining curtains and drapes are on the way.
Gas is still dropping. Down to $2.66 yesterday when I was out and about.
